I love wristwatches – Omega Dynamic Chronograph

The Omega Dynamic had quite a short production run, released in 1997 and discontinued only a few years later in the early 2000s. The “Dynamic” name had previously been used on a very different model in the 60s and 70s, looking nothing like this version. This newest Dynamic model also had a non-chrono brother.

It’s hard to classify this watch. Is it a field watch, a sports watch or maybe a flieger? Anyway, it’s a versatile watch that fits many situations and attires, and it’s quite a strap monster if you ever want to wear it on anything else than the very comfortable bracelet. It has a elegant 38mm case sizing, screw down crown and is water proof to 50 meters.

  1. The Dynamic is a much underrated, so called “neovintage” gem. People knock modular chronographs, but you have to appreciate that the Dubois Depraz modules are very well made and nicely finished. The DP modules require that they are set up well for the mechanism to work. The set up also allows for a slimmer well-sized watch that is a comfort to wear; something I believe is much under appreciated in modern Omega and many other brands. The design is really fun and quirky, too! Glad you got your hands on one.
